Junior Audio-Visual Design EngineerLocation: Ottawa, Ontario, CanadaWe are currently seeking a talented Junior Audio-Visual Design Engineer to join a well-known Audiovisual Integrator in Ontario, Canada. This full-time permanent role is based in Ottawa and will be a mix of in-office, client sites, and remote work. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will play an active role in the pre-sales process, project scope development, solution design, and commissioning stages of integration projects. The successful candidate will provide technical sales support for the Sales Team and technical support to the Integration Team to ensure smooth and efficient installations. You will assist in the creation of program reports, scope of work documents, and detailed designs that include all necessary components, cables, and connectors for building and installing professional AV systems.Responsibilities:Work closely with Sales Representatives and clients to develop and design solutions to meet AV requirementsDesign and document fully integrated AV systems to include signal routing, audio systems, video conferencing, audio conferencing and all related componentsDevelops conceptual and detailed designs that meet functional, technical, and budgetary requirementsMeets with project stakeholders for discussions on functional requirements, usage models, current state, design considerations and expectationsGenerate Bill of Materials (BOM) based on designAssist in responding to RFQs, RFIs, and RFPsAssist in creating solutions with application drawings and related technical materials for presentation to prospective customersKeep current with new products and developments in the industry by attending shows, conferences and engaging in forum discussions, and with manufacturersGeneral knowledge of data networking products/solutions and network design including Routing, Switching, IP networks, VPNs, Servers, Security and HostingRegular adherence to deliverable deadlines provided in internal systems or contractual agreementsQualifications:1-2 years as an AV Systems Designer/EngineerExperience with AutoCAD, architectural files & folder structureSkilled at communicating technical information in a simple and effective mannerExperience with documenting system workflow and line drawingsFamiliar with AV control and DSP platforms (Crestron, Extron, QSYS, Biamp, etc.)Familiarity with IT systems, architecture, and terminologyExperience with MS Teams and Zoom (UC) integration and deploymentAbility to obtain Secret level security clearanceAbility to build strong relationships internally and externallyBilingual Preferred (Canadian English/French)Desirable Key Qualifications/Certifications:AVIXA CTSCisco / Polycom VC/Teams certifiedProject Experience with Crestron/Extron/QSC-QSYSKnowledgeable in networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, addressing, firewalls, routers, VLAN’s, and VPNQSC Level 1 CertifiedAutoCAD ExperienceCrestron, Extron, Biamp, QSC, AV, Audio Visual, AutoCAD,Crestron, Extron, Biamp, QSC, AV, Audio Visual, AutoCAD,Crestron, Extron, Biamp, QSC, AV, Audio Visual, AutoCAD,
