Our Edmonton South Branch is looking for a Commercial Estimator
The successful incumbent will help ECCO Supply grow existing sales of mechanical equipment, grilles, and other related products to our Bid & Spec customer base by accurately and efficiently taking off plans and itemizing products and equipment in preparation for quoting.
Key Responsibilities
- General Duties:
- Make a personal commitment to consistently provide superior customer service to ECCO’s customers to encourage repeat business with ECCO Manufacturing
- Maintain a good working relationship with all co-workers and ECCO employees
- Read and comply with ECCO’s Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
- Read and comply with ECCO’s Human Resources Policies and Procedures
- Assist in the success of ECCO’s Safety Program by making suggestions, setting a good example, and ensuring safety is a top priority at work - Commercial Estimator:
- Complete engineered drawing take-offs of commercial grilles/registers/diffusers (GRD) & mechanical equipment
- Assemble accurate and timely tenders including quantities and sell prices for commercial GRD & mechanical equipment
- Manage projects once successful job tenders have been awarded
- Order project material and equipment as required
- Follow up and track shipments to ensure accurate and timely deliveries as per client specifications
- Process invoices regularly with correct and accurate pricing
- Identify and solicit potential clients
- Assist and share in customer sales and technical calls requiring assistance
- Promote and secure business from all aspects of the HVAC industry
- Ensure all customers are treated professionally and attend to queries, disputes, etc. promptly
- Provide timely feedback to supervisor regarding performance
- Provide timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all quotes submitted to clients while striving to maintain maximum profit margin and market share
- Maintain accurate records of all project tender quotations and activity reports submitted
- Control expenses to meet budget guidelines
- Participate in annual inventory counts
- Assist in trade shows offered by ECCO Supply, suppliers, and/or customers
- Participate in industry-related associations, e.g., monthly meetings
- Work closely under the supervision of more senior ECCO estimators who will provide mentoring and coaching
- Perform other duties as deemed necessary by management
