Posting: 1.0 FTE High School Wood Workshop Instructor Location: Father Patrick Mercredi Catholic High School Contract: Until December 2024 Hours/Shift: Monday to Friday; 35+ hours/week Start Date: As soon as available Closing Date: Open Until Filled Job Qualifications: The Fort McMurray Roman Catholic Separate School Division is seeking an innovative High School Wood Shop (carpentry) Instructor for the 2024-25 school year at Father Mercredi High School until December 2024. Requirements | Responsibilities: · Technical Diploma or journeyman certificate in area related to the assignment; Red Seal Carpenter is preferred, · Strong relationship building skills, · Flexible and adaptable, · Organized and able to meet deadlines in accordance with the school schedule, · Commitment to education and excited to work with students each day, · Strong computer literacy and fluent with emails, internet, Microsoft and Google applications, · Experience working in technical field related to assignment, · Maintain materials, tools and supplies inventory, · Ensure shop is in good working condition for instruction, · Prior instructor experience is considered an asset.
