Job Description
As an Analytical Chemist, you will analyze chemicals from various sources according to our established procedures.What you’ll do
- Conduct experiments to accurately characterize products while also ensuring effective usage of resources
- Initiate the analysis of products daily with integrity, accuracy, and efficiency within encouraged timelines
- Build Analytical Result Records in a high quality, accurate, and timely fashion
- Interpret and report analysis results in accordance with applicable procedures while adhering to strict guidelines of documentation and reporting
- Basic depth of analysis to interpret basic non-conformance results arising in NMR, MS, HPLC/GC, and CHN results due to bulk impurity and/or mishandling
- Analyze data acquired and identify out-of-specification (OOS) results
- Participate in routine maintenance and calibration of instruments
Qualifications
- Good theoretical and practical knowledge of NMR and MS and analytical methodology and separation techniques
- Proven knowledge and experience using analytical techniques and instrumentation
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication and time management
- Very good analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Self-starter; task-oriented with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Good at handling stress and outstanding interpersonal skills
- Bachelor or Master of Science degree in organic chemistry, bioorganic chemistry, or similar technical program with an emphasis on analytical chemistry
