Our Civil-Structural group specializes in the engineering of foundations, buildings and a wide range of mining and industrial structures. Focused on providing the most cost-effective solutions to engineering challenges, we are involved in a diverse range of projects from the initial planning stages to design, construction, and commissioning. Primary Responsibilities

  1. Conducts structural inspections for industrial projects
  2. Designs for equipment foundations and support structures
  3. Confident making technical decisions with limited information
  4. Estimates and prepares engineering proposals
  5. Ensures projects are on task, on budget and on schedule
  6. Approves and stamps own project design and reports, and those of engineers in training for whom you are providing peer review, as appropriate
  7. Client-facing, able to well-represent the company and the community in presentations and meetings

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s Degree Structural Engineering
  2. 5 to 10 years of experience in consulting engineering in a Canadian work environment
  3. Registered P.Eng. in the province of Alberta, British Columbia or Saskatchewan
  4. Possesses advanced technical skills in steel and concrete design, with field experience
  5. Possesses design experience in heavy industries such as Oil & Gas, Mining, Hydro & Dam and Renewable Energy. Substation design experience - an asset
  6. Working knowledge of Canadian codes and standards, as well as knowledgeable of good design practices
  7. Proficiency in the use of SAP 2000 or similar

Salary

The expected salary for this position is from $105,440 to $131,800 based on the richness and diversity of the candidate’s experience, training, skills and internal equity. The position or associated salary could vary depending on the profile of the candidate.
