In this vital role you will engage in scientific exchange with healthcare professionals to communicate and advance the scientific communication platform, as aligned with product goals.Identify, develop, and maintain collaborative relationships with current and future thought leaders, speakers and investigatorsCommunicate complex, cutting edge, scientific information and research concepts to healthcare professionalsIdentify / recommend sites for Amgen clinical trials in conjunction with and when required by Development OperationsDeliver site or regional investigator meetings in support of study rationale, trial enrollment and/or subject retentionManage the field activities related to the submission and execution of Investigator Supported Studies (ISS) in line with Amgen’s existing policiesSupport reimbursement efforts by presenting clarity around clinical and scientific information supporting therapeutic decisions in patient care50% or more travelTerritory coverage:Ontario and some travel to Western Canada (BC, AB, MB, SK)WinWhat we expect of youWe are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The MSL professional we seek is a candidate with these qualifications.Basic Qualifications:Advanced scientific or clinical degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, etc.)3+ years of relevant biopharmaceutical industry experienceExperience in ophthalmology and/or endocrinologyResides in Ontario, with expectation of travel to Western CanadaPreferred Qualifications:Launch experience in Medical Affairs3+ years of relevant biopharmaceutical industry experienceExceptional communication and time management skillsExperience working within a cross-functional matrix team environmentStrategic, analytical thinking and problem solvingSolid understanding of clinical trial design and statistical analysesExperience using customer relationship management softwareSolid organization and project management experienceGood understanding of the drug commercialization processWhat you can expect of usAs we work to develop treatments that take care of others, we also work to care for our teammates’ professional and personal growth and well-being.The annual base salary range for this opportunity in Canada is $110,000 CAD to $158,000 CADIn addition to the base salary, Amgen offers competitive and comprehensive Total Rewards Plans that are aligned with local industry standards.Apply nowfor a career that defies imaginationObjects in your future are closer than they appear.
