Opportunity DetailsLeverageTek is actively seeking a Manager, IT Network and Voice Operations for a permanent position with its Ottawa-based customer. Work LocationThe successful candidate will be required to work 4x/week on-site at the customer headquarters in Ottawa, ON. Key TasksWork with internal stakeholders to develop, revise and carry out operations, maintenance and improvements to the organization’s integrated voice and network IT infrastructure and its interface with the outside world via the WAN/LAN networksWork with the organization’s extended community to identify and create opportunities to leverage existing and emerging technologies (e.g. unified communication technologies) to improve the service and efficiency of the organizationWork with the ITS Management team to ensure policies, procedures, processes and client service delivery are consistent and seamless across teams for service deliveryManage the monitoring and analysis of service metrics related to the Internet, wired and wireless networks, point of sale network and other critical voice IT infrastructure systems to ensure adherence to the platforms SLAManage approx. 9 IT data and voice infrastructure technicians, $4M operating budget and the associated operations, maintenance and improvements to ensure that the voice infrastructure and network supports all internal activitiesCarry out all the agreed-upon capital projects, usually $1-2M per year, delivering the functionality on time and within budgetProvide planning and strategic input into the IT Operating Plans Key Qualifications9+ years experience and expertise in Networking, Telephony, Storage, Backups, Wireless Networking Solutions, IT Security Risks and Mitigation Strategies (within a complex environment)Comprehensive understanding of leased telecommunications voice and data wide area networksExperience managing business analysis and development, including financial analysis, management and development of Management Information Systems (with preference for experience in providing integrated information technology support to medium sized corporation executives and users) QualificationsMinimum of three (3) year Diploma/Degree in Computer Science/Systems/Engineering/Information Systems or a degree in business with experience in Information TechnologyProgressive management experience of an IT/IS technical support organization with extensive front-line client service experience and experience delivering in a tiered response environmentExperience leading teams that support enterprise business critical applications, preferably in a custom developed enterprise systems environmentExperience with cloud technologies, hybrid architectures, and their impact on traditional data centresExperience managing personnel, operations and capital budgets in excess of $6M annuallyAbility to work effectively with upper management, peers and front-line staffAbility to provide presentations to senior executives about technical service delivery strategies, issues and optionsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent project management skillsExcellent client service skillsExcellent financial management skillsExcellent conflict resolution skillsExcellent writing skillsExcellent analytical skills AssetsCisco Networking certification (CCIE, CCNA etc) or PMP or ITILExperience with Post-Secondary Education About LeverageTek IT SolutionsThank you for taking the time to apply!
