Job Description

  • Lead and coordinate feasibility studies for new automotive products and processes.
  • Conduct carrier studies to optimize transportation and handling methods for automotive components.
  • Perform platform assessments to evaluate the feasibility and scalability of automotive platforms.
  • Develop comprehensive process maps for current and incoming products to streamline manufacturing processes.
  • Assess tooling requirements and provide recommendations for improvement or optimization.
  • Utilize Siemens Software, including Teamcenter and VisMock, for design, analysis, and collaboration purposes.
  • Implement product shingling techniques to maximize assembly line efficiency and space utilization.
  • Monitor product timing and development milestones to ensure adherence to project schedules.
  • Identify and drive Design to Manufacturing (DtM) opportunities to enhance overall efficiency and productivity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering within the automotive industry.
  • Proven expertise in product and process planning and assessment, including carrier studies and platform assessments.
  • Proficiency in Siemens Software, particularly Teamcenter and VisMock, with hands-on experience in their utilization.
  • Strong understanding of tooling and fixtures, with the ability to assess and optimize tooling requirements.
  • Familiarity with product shingling techniques and process flow optimization.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
