Structural Engineer in Training

Our team is a group of creative professionals from all walks of life, and we want to hear from you! The Position We are actively seeking a Structural E.I.T. at our growing location in Toronto, ON. What will you be doing? Collect client and project information and prepare structural designs/drawings in accordance with best practice design and relevant codes and standards.Working with project engineers to assist in coordination of drawings sets with client expectations including architectural coordination, value engineering and industry standard practices.Use AutoCAD to prepare 2D drawing sets for construction level documents in various materials (wood, steel, concrete, precast products, etc.).Use Revit to prepare 3D Building Information (BIM) models and export to 2D drawing sets.Coordinate structural design with Architecture, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, and other project consultants under the direction of the project Engineer.Visit project site to collect required information.Visit Construction site to complete construction reviews.Performs other duties as assigned by project engineers. What you bring? A bachelor’s degree in structural engineering with a minimum of 2-5 years experience. Master’s degree is preferred.Registered as an Engineer-in-training (E.I.T.) with Professional Engineers of Ontario.Experience designing multi-family residential buildings.Basic design experience in wood, structural steel and/ or concrete. Experience with ETABS and SAFE will be considered an asset.Basic knowledge in AutoCAD and Revit.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.Fluent in English (both written and verbal).Registered as an Engineer-in-training (E.I.T.) in good standing with Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO).Comfortable multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks without guidance.Being a natural self-starter with the ability to prioritize, self-schedule, meet tight deadlines, and work with colleagues from various departments, market sectors, and locations.
