About Our Client:
Adecco is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Architectural Technologist/Drafter to oversee our client's residential low-rise construction projects. Our client is one of Canada's top home developers, based in the Edmonton office. They are building 13 communities across the Edmonton region.

Job Overview:
- Create detailed and accurate technical drawings and blueprints for residential construction projects.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other team members to transform concepts and specifications into tangible visual representations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and prepare accurate architectural drawings, floor plans, and elevation plans.
- Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create and modify technical drawings and blueprints.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other team members to understand project requirements and translate them into practical designs.
- Ensure all drawings adhere to local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Incorporate design changes and modifications as necessary during the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including contractors and suppliers.
- Review and analyze project specifications, sketches, and verbal instructions to identify potential design challenges or conflicts.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of all design revisions and modifications.
- Stay updated on industry trends, building codes, and technological advancements related to architectural drafting.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Drafter or similar role, preferably in the residential construction industry.
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as ArchiCAD, AutoCAD, or Revit.
- Solid understanding of architectural and engineering principles, building codes, and construction techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate technical drawings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of 3D modeling software and rendering tools is a plus.
- A degree or diploma in drafting, architecture, or a related field is preferred.
