Join the City of Medicine Hat as a People Services (HR) CoordinatorPermanent, Full time, On SiteWe are looking for a driven, self starter to join our People Services Department as the People Services Coordinator! This role is responsible for supporting a wide range of activities related to employee records, training and compliance; all while keeping employee experience and service delivery at the forefront. This role requires a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion, and is an exciting opportunity for an individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced, data-driven, and complex organization.Your key responsibilitiesEmployee records management to ensure accurate documentation, record retention and security of information. Coordinating training and development programs, including scheduling and registration and effective communication with facilitators and participants and other logistical requirements. Coordinating information, data, documentation into various systems to ensure flawless execution, as well as performing back up support for position control processes. Supports the delivery of various awards programs.Provides clear information and explanations to employees regarding established and routine programs, policies, and procedures. Exercise sound judgment and escalate sensitive and/or complex matters in a timely fashion.Conducts work with a high level of accuracy and quality and maintain a high level of professionalism while maintaining confidentiality.What you bringService oriented individual who enjoys tackling problems with a positive, solution driven attitude.Strong collaboration skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships by providing high quality service and support. High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion in dealing with confidential information.Lifelong learner with the desire to stay up to date with relevant training and processes for relevant systems and tools.Strong organizational and time management skills with an ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.High attention to detail with the ability to streamline and improve processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe and relevant HRIS systems.QualificationsHR diploma or certificate or equivalent combination of experience and education in a related field.Five (5) years of related experience in an administrative support capacity including extensive involvement in providing customer service, utilizing office technology and other coordination and administrative support duties.An equivalent combination of management approved training and education may be considered.
