You will work in close collaboration with various stakeholders including Avionics Managers, Project Managers, and Engineering support.What are your contributions to the team?Responsible for all the avionics functional activities and reporting within the avionics department.Lead and execute the avionics functional projects allocated to the COE as part of the COE Statement Of Work (SOW).Review, support and report on the COE SOW projects allocated to other avionics managers and their teams.Promote efficient and common avionics standards, processes, methods, and initiatives across different platforms.Develop and maintain the COE SOW for the avionics department.Identify new COE initiatives/improvements and activities linked to Knowledge Domains and Recruitment.Leverage AVIO experts across the avionics department to support strategic activities.Support activities linked to CORE-DAD / DAO.Maintain the current EIS platform avionics roadmaps.Lead the avionics R&T projects portfolio.Follow industry trends in future avionics and capture exploration opportunities within the avionics R&T projects portfolio.Participate in various Avionics Supplier/Bombardier meetings through the R&T umbrella.Manage and develop the COE team and avionics specialists.How to thrive in this role? Skills, knowledge & experience:Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.10 to 15 years of pertinent experience in aircraft engineering with multidisciplinary integration in the Aerospace industry.Five (5) years of supervisory experience.Team player, promoting a collaborative approach.Knowledge of Avionics aircraft systems.Ability to develop clear action plans from limited information.Self-starter with strong organizational & time management skills.Strong leadership and situational judgment.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Good written and oral communication skills in English; knowledge of French is an asset.Please note: You don’t need all the skills, knowledge, and experience listed for this position!
