Shipper/Receiver/Repair Centre Technician

Chesterton is a leading international manufacturer of industrial fluid sealing systems, high performance protective coatings and specialized industrial maintenance products is seeking a new Shipper/Receiver/Repair Centre Technician for its Montreal center. As a Shipper/Receiver/Repair Centre Technician, you will work under the supervision of our Eastern Canada Service Center Director. Your mandate will be, among other things: Perform diverse shipping / receiving activities and maintain the inventory count. Set up and operate simple machines, i.e. sandblasters and polishing tools. Use various hand and power tools, i.e. drill press. Perform simple in-process quality control functions based on established engineering standards. Operate a CNC for cutting gaskets. (Training provided) Perform simple production tasks, cut packing braids and assemble kits. May carry out work tasks with instructions, if necessary. Perform other manufacturing floor functions, i.e. Assemble skids and wooden crates. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment. A.W.
