Our global, family-owned client, with over 100 years of industry leadership, is seeking a seasoned and dynamic individual to lead their Edmonton team as a Branch Manager.

This pivotal role is instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of one of their larger distribution centres. This candidate will oversee a talented team and inherit a number of responsibilities as the current Branch Manager transitions into retirement.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The key job functions are:

  • Supervising all facets of branch operations, such as customer service, shipping/receiving, and product inventory
  • Upholding superior customer service standards in branch operations and leading a team of skilled professionals
  • Developing and implementing operational protocols
  • Ensuring efficiency, meeting targets, optimizing performance, and maximizing profitability
  • Providing support to the external sales team
  • Adhering to company policies, health and safety regulations, and statutory requirements, aiming to surpass them
  • Participating in organizational change management efforts

Education:

  • Completion of a post-secondary education in business administration or related field (preferred)

Qualifications:

  • Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle
  • Clean criminal background check
  • Proficient in computer software applications including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google applications, and ERP systems

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in a warehouse environment is required
  • 2-5+ years of experience in a supervisory or management role is required
  • Strong knowledge and exposure to logistics (preferred)
  • Previous experience in distribution and/or manufacturing (preferred)
  • Previous experience working in related industry (industrial distribution) is an asset

Base Salary:$80,000 – $100,000 per year

  • Salary based on experience and qualifications
  • Profit sharing
  • Full benefits package

Work Hours:

  • Monday – Friday
  • 8:00am – 5:00pm

  • This opportunity does not include relocation. It will be the responsibility of the candidate should relocation be required.
