Registered Nurse (Rehab/THP) - Part-time (no master)

General Posting Information POSITION: Registered Nurse DEPARTMENT: A4 Rehabilitation / Transition to Home Program CONDITIONS: Part-time (no master) SHIFTS: Days / Nights / Weekends 11.25 hours per shift (subject to change) WAGE RANGE: Scale Minimum Maximum ONA02 $39.07/hr $56.00/hr RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensures the delivery of professional nursing care by utilizing evidence based nursing practice and by: Establishing, providing, and evaluating clinical nursing care to patients and family Demonstrating critical thinking in the nursing process while collecting and interpreting data, planning, implementing, and evaluating all aspects of nursing care Practising to the full scope of practice of the Registered Nurse within own level of competence Has the knowledge, skill and judgment needed to provide competent, evidence-based nursing practice that complies with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) Standards of Nursing Practice, QCH Policies and Procedures as well as the standards of care appropriate to his/her area of clinical practice. Demonstrate QCH values: collaboration, accountability, innovation, respect REQUIREMENTS: Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario RN Diploma Current BCLS Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills Ability to understand, interpret and carry out verbal and written instructions in the English language Ability to work effectively within the nursing and inter-professional team Demonstrated computer competency PREFERRED: One year of recent experience in an acute care setting Experience with clinical documentation in an Electronic Health Record Membership in RNAO, certifications and associations related to nursing specialty Experience as preceptor/mentor Please note that according to the Ontario Health and Queensway Carleton Hospital Vaccination Policy, all applicants must be fully vaccinated unless they can provide the proof of a valid medical contraindication or exemption on the basis of protected grounds under the Ontario Human Rights Code in order to be considered for any staff or volunteer opportunities.
