Quality Assurance Lead

We’re looking for a Quality Assurance Lead (QA Lead) with a proficient knowledge of gameplay testing, project planning, test prioritization and team health analysis to join our team and contribute to the success of our Quality Assurance department. The QA Lead works with the QA Manager and Producers to ensure testing coverage and support needs are being met. They will coordinate with the QA Manager and other QA Leads to request additional resources and assistance as needed (staffing, equipment requests, etc.) and help refine team processes. They are the point of contact for the studio production and leadership on title testing health and quality in their area. They will work closely with Development Support and Core QA Test Coordinators to create and manage the organization and delivery of testing schedules and focus. They will attend lead level meetings to help identify risks, provide estimates on testing capacity and coverage, raise concerns, and listen to feedback. They are the face of QA at a project/title level and help provide confidence in the level of coverage on a title. They will help coach and mentor our Development Support and Test Coordinators and shouldn't be afraid to hop into the title to assist with testing as required.Requirements• Previous leadership experience, supporting teams through difficult situations• Experience across multiple development cycles (ideally from pre production to post launch)• Experience writing testing instructions or briefs• Experience estimating testing efforts• Willingness to learn new technologies and develop/refine skills• Strong documentation and organization skills• Strong communication skills, comfortable interfacing with QA and Production teamsResponsibilities• Ensuring proper testing is being done on Live Modes teams.• Observing and mentoring Dev Support members that will report to them.• Syncing with Production stakeholders on expectations for deliverables in each milestone• Translate design & technical briefs into test plans.• Audit incoming issues for proper process implementations• Reporting KPIs to management and informing them when actions are required• Representing all QA processes to the team• Estimating Test efforts and communicating these to the team and Production stakeholdersPreferred Qualifications:• Experience coordinating multiplayer testing• Strong understanding of the live game mode community• Adaptable teaching skills (teaching to lots of different types of learners including leadership teams)• Thorough documentation and organization skills.• Ability to translate design & feature briefs into nuanced and robust test cases, or review & provide feedback on the test cases of others.• Confident communication skills, comfortable interfacing with QA and Production teams.• Proactive planning, critical thinking and problem-solving skillset.• Data driven approach in decision making.Nice to haves• Experience with Unreal Engine is good to have.• Experience with Jira, Confluence and SharePoint.Location: Hybrid (Downtown Vancouver, BC )Salary Range: The salary for this position is between CAD $75000 - $95000 annually.
