GAL AeroStaff., which provides specialized staffing and recruiting services in the Business & Commercial aircraft industry, is presently seeking Aircraft Sheetmetal technician for a client based out of Ontario, Canada. GAL AeroStaff is an internationally approved OEM service provider / supplier. We offer competitive salaries, as well as a professional and ethical work environment.

We offer visa process for Colombian national applying for this position.

Job Description:

The selected candidates will be required to perform heavy maintenance on narrow body aircraft in Ontario, Canada.

Main Duties:

Assemble, rivet, drill and bond body, structure or components of aircraft according to specifications;

Read work orders, blueprints, and specifications to determine method of fabrication, procedures and sequence of operations;

Cure bonded structures, using portable or stationary curing equipment;

Communicate with other workers to fit and align heavy parts or expedite processing of repair parts;

Clean, strip, prime and sand structural surfaces and materials prior to bonding;

Fabricate parts using metal fabricating machines, saws, brakes, shears, and grinders;

Assemble and fit aircraft and structural parts;

Perform a subassembly;

Align, fit, assemble, connect, or install system components, using jigs, fixtures, measuring instruments, hand tools, or power tools;

Other duties may be assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Minimum of 40hrs per week

Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Must be able to speak, read and write the English Language at a B2 level minimum.

Must be able to work overtime, any shift, and weekends as required.

Must be able to pass pre-employment background, drug, & medical screening, subject to TCCA requirements and random substance abuse screening.

Must have requisite basic tools prior to starting to work; tool list will be provided. Tools must be shadowed and engraved.

Must have a technical college degree in aerospace or equivalent.

Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in an MRO
