Position Summary Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, the Talent Acquisition Specialist / Driver Recruiter is responsible for ensuring Canada Cartage is the #1 talent destination in Transportation/ Logistics. By contributing to the broader vision, strategy and roadmap for attracting and retaining high achievers, driven to win. This is a full-time, permanent position.Primary Location: Edmonton, AlbertaSchedule: Monday to Friday, daysWhat you will doFull-cycle recruitment of drivers, mechanics, and office staff across Western CanadaCollaborating with Recruitment Marketing on employer brand management and out of the box ideas that speak to the authenticity and culture of Canada CartageWorking with other teams within Canada Cartage to develop programs to attract and train qualified driversBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with client groups to meet their hiring needsAccountable for measuring results and meeting objectives including: time-to-fill, quality candidates (road test success rate, quality of hire metric, turnover metrics)What You’ll Bring3 + years of recruitment experience, specifically in the transportation industryExperience managing high-volume, full-cycle recruitment processesBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related fieldAlong with the following Skills & Competencies: Knowledge of transportation industry trends, labor market conditions, and specific role requirementsSourcing SkillsProficiency in conducting interviews, assessing qualificationsFamiliarity with background check software and other employment verification toolsKnowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS):Strong communication skills (written and verbally)Strong networking abilities to build a pipeline of candidatesAbility to quickly adapt to changing hiring needs and industry demandsProblem-solving skillsA high sense of urgency and accountabilityWhy people love working for Canada CartageCohesive team and a positive, hard-working atmosphere.
