Senior Web Developer

The Senior Web Developer is responsible for developing and maintaining the company's website, ensuring it is functional, responsive, and user-friendly. They focus on SEO and performance optimization to enhance site speed and search engine rankings. The role also involves managing content and improving user experience (UX) design to ensure an intuitive and engaging user interface. Additionally, the Senior Web Developer ensures the website complies with industry standards and security protocols, safeguarding data and maintaining regulatory compliance.Duties and ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain the company website to ensure it meets the latest web standards.Implement new features and functionality to improve user experience and engagement.Ensure the website is mobile-friendly and responsive across all devices.Optimize the website for search engines (SEO) to improve organic search rankings.Monitor and enhance website performance, including speed and efficiency.Implement and analyze web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to track and report on website performance.Work closely with the marketing team to understand project requirements and objectives.Collaborate with designers, content creators, and social media managers to implement marketing campaigns.Provide technical support and advice to the marketing team.Manage and update website content using the CMS, ensuring timely publication that aligns with marketing goals.Implement user experience (UX) best practices to create an intuitive and engaging user experience.Conduct user research and gather feedback to inform design improvements.Ensure the website complies with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, ADA).Regularly update and maintain website security to protect against vulnerabilities.Implement accessibility best practices to ensure the website is usable by all individuals.Required Skills/AbilitiesProficient in multiple programming languages (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Python).Expertise in web development frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.Excellent project management and organizational skills.Strong understanding of UX/UI principles.Ability to stay updated with emerging web technologies and industry trends.Deep understanding of web development best practices and standards.Extensive experience with content management systems (CMS).Knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) techniques.Familiarity with web security principles and practices.Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).Understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in a related field.Minimum 5 years experience as a Web Developer or similar role.The annual base salary for this role ranges from $75,000 - $95,000.AFG determines an individual’s pay within the range based on multiple factors including experience, education, skills, and business needs.
