We’ve got what you’re looking for. Job Description: Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Environmental Project Manager/Scientist or Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to work closely with a variety of professionals on Contaminated Sites and Infrastructure Projects What You'll Be Doing: Provide technical leadership in the design and project management of contaminated sites, remediation and infrastructure projects, including investigations, remediation design and excess soil planning, investigation and management. Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments to CSA and O.Reg.153/04 requirements; Remedial design and site remediation oversight: including excavations, ISCO, bioremediation, permeable and impermeable barriers, and mechanical technologies (air sparge, pump and treat, dual phase extraction, etc), sediment remediation, mine closures Excess soil and waste management on infrastructure projects, contributing to planning and design inputs as per O.Reg. 406/19 Peer review of technical documents and reports; Design support of infrastructure projects (roads/highways, transit, bridges, EAs, sewers/watermains) from a waste/contamination and excess soil perspective Support business development activities including proposal preparation on major and minor pursuits; Project Management and Coordination: ESA and remediation related projects Tracking and maintaining budgets and project finances; Preparing Reports; Maintain client relationships in various industries; Liaise and support other engineering disciplines. Primary point of contact with clients, junior staff, and other project managers. What Required Skills You'll Bring: Bachelor's Degree in earth sciences, environmental/chemical/geological engineering or similar programs 15 + years of related, consulting experience at an engineering firm with strong experience in the applicable federal and provincial environmental laws and regulations within a Canadian (preferably Ontario) jurisdiction 2+ years managing contaminated sites projects with consulting values over $100K and/or as a project manager or a technical designer Technically strong with advance knowledge of environmental site assessments, excess oil planning and various remediation approaches Experience working with diverse multidiscipline and/or international project teams. Strong verbal and written communication skills Financially literate from a project management perspective Track record of delivering high quality work products What Desired Skills You'll Bring: Completion of projects in support of a Record of Site Condition filing, additionally desired if it was completed under a Tier 3 Risk Assessments under O.Reg. 153/04 Have completed environmental work in support of major infrastructure projects (ie. Excess Soil Planning and/or management, property acquisitions) Have additional experience in other environmental disciplines (ie. public consultation, air quality evaluation/monitoring, noise and vibration assessments/monitoring, designated substances surveys, natural sciences, etc.) Experience with research or investigation of emerging contaminants (such as PFAS, microplastics, etc.) Demonstrated innovation by utilization of technology to improve environmental workflows Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Not Applicable/None This position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.
