Financial Reporting & Taxation Manager

The Manager, Financial Reporting and Taxation has direct leadership and responsibility of all financial reporting functions of the Company. He/she performs direct and/or indirect supervision of all financial and accounting staff and prepares all formal internal and external financial statements as well as formulating and recommending appropriate accounting policy.Key Responsibilities and Duties:Preparation of annual audited financial statementsPreparation of Annual Report for shareholder and regulatory authoritiesPreparation of unaudited Quarterly Reports for shareholder and regulatory authoritiesPreparation of monthly financial statements for management and internal purposesInterfacing with tax preparation companies and completing U.S. and Canadian tax returns for all Companies in the consolidated groupInterfacing with taxation authoritiesFormulating the appropriate Corporate accounting policies and ensuring they are applied in conformance with IFRSStaying abreast of all current accounting pronouncements and incorporating them into the Company’s policies where applicableInterfacing with both the external auditors and the audit committeePreparation of annual operating budgets and analysis of results against budgetAnalyzing corporate financing needs and recommending solutions to senior managementSpecial projects as requestedAssisting other Corporate departmentsQualifications:Post-secondary degree in Business, or a related disciplineProfessional Accounting designation (CPA CA)Membership in good standing with a Professional accounting body5 - 10 or more years of related experience with progressive responsibilitySupervisory experience is requiredExcellent communication skills, verbal and writtenAnalytical, problem-solving and decision-making skillsAbility to use a computerized accounting system, with skills in word processing, spreadsheets, database software and accounting softwareRespect for confidentialityAbility to work independently or as a member of a team, and get along with other peopleAbility to multi-task and work under pressureAbout Buhler Industries Inc.:Buhler Industries Inc.
