As the Director of AI Activation, you will be responsible for scaling AI across the Canadian Tire Enterprise. You will be part of the AI Enablement COE but will work within a business function where you will integrate the governance, practices, approaches, tools and expertise into the business domain with an objective to scale AI within that business and take your learnings back to the COE to scale across the enterprise.This is a complex role as you will be required to understand the complex business challenges and opportunities and to build and support the execution of a roadmap using AI and Emerging Technology as a lever to accelerate the implementation of solutions. You will need to have a strong background in both traditional and Generative AI and a proven track record of using AI to solve significant corporate problems.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute a strategy for the application of AI and Emerging technologies with CTC operations.Serve as an expert on emerging tech and AI applications in retail, maintaining up-to-date knowledge and staying ahead of industry trends.Work in collaboration with Senior Leaders to lead, advise and support the development of an AI roadmap in service of CTC 2.0.Lead and facilitate ongoing workshops to continuously identify and evolve opportunities to create value.Lead an AI Enablement COE squad within the business teams to drive AI POCs to scale in support of larger corporate strategy.Define and track KPIs to measure the impact of AI initiatives on business outcomes and customer experiences.Lead the operationalization of Responsible AI practices within all AI initiatives and provide reporting back to the AI Enablement COE.Collaborate with HR and a transformation office to ensure that talent transformation is in line with opportunities to upskill talent, create competitive compensation frameworks and identify new roles for the business and for the Enterprise.Identify opportunities for reuse, scale and collaboration.Manage multiple vendor relationships and teams.Participate as an active thought leader in the AI Governance Council of AVPs and VPs.Identify opportunities for continuous maturity of AI Capability and implement ongoing changes.What You Bring7 – 10 years of experience in data, analytics or AI Leadership.Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD in business, or STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) preferred or equivalent experience.Experience in using agile delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence, etc. preferred.Strategic thinker with the ability to act as a translator between technology and the business, ensuring business value is achieved through data and AI products.Ability to lead and manage agile teams.Experience working cross-functionally in large organizations to solve complex problems.Deep understanding of data, analytics and AI.Relationship-oriented with the ability to communicate meaningfully and influence all levels of stakeholders.Storyteller with the ability to translate complex technical jargon and concepts into something simple, accurate and understandable.Ability to deal with ambiguity and work autonomously with limited guidelines.Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.Work EnvironmentWe value flexibility.
