Director, Employee Communications The role of Director, Employee Communications is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned and creative internal communications professional to support employees of the world’s leading luxury hospitality company. Working in the fast-paced, dynamic environment of Four Seasons global headquarters in Toronto, the Director, Employee Communications will be a key contributor to the Internal Communications team. As a member of Four Seasons Internal Communications team, the Director, Employee Communications will lead the development and implementation of comprehensive internal communications strategies that inspires employees to drive performance and rallies our team around our go forward plans. They will manage Four Seasons internal content strategy, communications channels, and provide oversight of our global internal communications standards and processes. The successful candidate will also develop and lead internal communications efforts to support our Global Workplace Transformation across our corporate offices. The ideal candidate is a seasoned communications professional who leads with care and compassion and is committed to fostering an engaged workplace. A keen eye for detail, the ability to work under tight deadlines, superb professionalism and exceptional project management skills are essential. They will have a proven track record of leading successful internal communications strategies in dynamic, fast-paced environments. What You’ll Be Doing: Strategic Plan Communications Work in partnership with the Vice President of Internal Communications to drive a cohesive narrative that continues to engage all Four Seasons employees in our Strategic Plan Work in partnership with Strategic Initiative Owners to: Develop effective internal communications plans to engage Property Teams in the execution of our Strategic Plan Share / celebrate key milestones across all Strategic Initiatives to continue to drive engagement in our Strategic Plan across the broader organization. Property Team Communications Define and lead the implementation of a process for corporate team engagement with our Property Teams including the development of guidelines, processes, and protocols. Lead the development and deployment of standard internal communications tools and resources to support Regional People and Culture teams to effectively communicate across their local employee base. Internal Content and Channels Develop and execute a comprehensive internal content strategy that supports organizational objectives and enhances employee engagement. Oversee the management and optimization of all internal communication channels, (i.e., email, Viva Engage, digital signage, etc.,), ensuring accessibility, usability, and effectiveness. Lead the creation, curation, and distribution of high-quality, relevant, and engaging content across all internal channels. Oversee global internal communications planning including managing a proactive editorial calendar to ensure timely and consistent communication across the organization. Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement and foster a sense of community across the global organization. Performance and measurement Lead the development of an analytics strategy including defining KPIs to measure the impact of internal communications initiatives. Monitor and analyze performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of internal content and channels, using insights to continuously improve internal communications strategies. Create comprehensive reports, dashboards, etc. to communicate insights to key internal stakeholders on a quarterly basis. Stay informed about the latest trends in technologies in internal communications analytics and implement relevant innovations. Develop and deploy an annual internal communications survey including supporting focus group to gauge employee sentiment and communication effectiveness; leverage findings to inform the evolution of our internal communications strategy. Workplace Transformation Develop and execute a cohesive internal communications plan to drive awareness and understanding of our Global Workplace Strategy and Transformation across our corporate teams. FSHO communications Lead the evolution of internal communications practices and guidelines at Four Seasons Head Office including in person and digital communications efforts. Crisis Communications Work in partnership with the Vice President, Internal Communications to lead internal communications during crises or significant events, ensuring clear and timely information dissemination. Other duties as assigned Including but not limited to internal events and working outside of a traditional 9 to 5 p.m. as required to support a global organization. What You Bring: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.  Qualified candidates will have 10+ years of progressive experience working in corporate / internal communications or related fields with at least three years in a leadership role. Experience working for global organizations with a significant number of field employees is an asset. Expertise in digital communication platforms and tools Experience with communications data analytics and performance measurement tools Analytical; skilled in providing consultation on possible solutions/approaches and influencing outcomes. Advance knowledge of MS Office tools including PowerPoint, SharePoint. Key Skills/Who You Are: Strategic thinker with strong ability to plan and execute. Exceptional writing skills with proven ability to drive compelling narratives / stories that inspire action. Proficiency in distilling complex concepts / information into compelling and clear language for a broad audience. Ability to communicate across geographies, using clear and inclusive language Adept at working as part of a fast-paced organization. Flexibility in thinking and problem-solving Adaptability to new conditions / change Creative and innovative mindset High degree of emotional intelligence Collaborative partner with solid ability to build positive stakeholder relationships. Empathetic leader with a team first mindset Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
