People of color, women, LGBTQIA+, veterans and persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply.Opportunities:- Exposure to precision automation software.- Exposure to Lumentum’s manufacturing processes and next-gen tech.- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and lifecycles.- Mentorship from senior engineers and management.Responsibilities:- Contribute to our proprietary robotics software package.- Develop new optimization algorithms for positioning optical components.- Improve software deployment systems.- Solve complex problems in multi-disciplinary teams.- Test your solutions on real hardware.- Collaborate with the Mechanical, Alignment, and Firmware R&D teams.Skills:- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and time management skills.- Object-oriented design experience.- Software development experience in any of the following: C++, C#, VB, VBA, or Python.- Experience with source control (git, SVN, mercurial, etc.).What sets Lumentum's student program apart?
