Job Description:Job Description As an Occupational Therapist (OT) on our team you are responsible for developing programs that enable individuals to participate, to their fullest level, in activities that occupy their daily lives. Your client-base will consist of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), as well as individuals of all other ages and needs.Job Types: Permanent, full-time and part-time roles available Salary: $72,500.00-$102,000.00 per yearWork schedule:Full-time10:30am-6:30pm, flexible days Take an inside look at what you will do each day:Assess client needs and family priorities as part of an interdisciplinary teamTravel to schools - both downtown and midtown (Mileage offered)Complete assessments using tools such as standardized tests, criterion or curriculum referenced materials, or checklistsDevelop and implement a treatment plan for each client, based on assessment resultsDevelop reports as requiredConsult to Behaviour Analysts who supervise Applied Behaviour Analysis Programs for Children with ASD and other needsWork collaboratively with the family and other community professionalsMaintain knowledge in current evidence-based practicesCollect data and make evidenced-based decisions in treatmentSupervise students pursuing education in Occupational TherapyRepresent OT department in Monarch House by contributing to clinical policies and procedures and other centre-wide visions Here is what you will need to be successful:At least 2 years’ experience working with children with ASDMaster’s Degree in Occupational Therapist (OT)Experience and familiarity with assessment tools (standardized tests, etc.)Knowledge of current research and literature in the Occupational Therapist (OT) fieldMember of college (COTO) and association (OSOT or CAOT)Strong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to take initiativeFlexibility in scheduling clients What Monarch House can offer to you We are proud of our friendly environment, supportive leadership and the knowledgeable team members who make it all possible.
