Pharmacist

Salary: $105,000 - $115,000 per annum

Description:

Our client is seeking a dedicated pharmacist to join our team. In this role, you will compound and dispense prescribed pharmaceuticals, offering consultative services to clients and healthcare providers alike.

Job Duties:

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Verifying prescriptions for accurate dosage
• Compounding pharmaceutical products by calculating, measuring, and mixing required quantities of drugs and ingredients
• Dispensing prescribed medications, providing guidance on indications, contraindications, adverse effects, interactions, and dosage
• Managing medication profiles, including poisons and controlled drugs registry
• Ensuring proper preparation, packaging, distribution, and storage of vaccines, biologicals, and pharmaceuticals
• Ordering and maintaining pharmaceutical supplies
• Advising on the selection and use of non-prescription medications
• Renewing prescriptions under specific circumstances
• Potentially modifying medication formulations, regimens, or administration routes
• Supervising and coordinating pharmacy staff as required
• Developing informational materials on drug uses, properties, and risks
• Evaluating drug product labeling, packaging, and advertising
• Promoting pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals
  
  

Qualifications:

• Certification by the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP), in good standing
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to ongoing medical education
• Ability to manage diverse health issues across all age groups
• High standards of discipline, punctuality, ethics, and compassion
