Babcock Canada Inc. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Babcock International Group. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Commercial Director will provide executive leadership for the contracts/commercial function in Canada and lead a team responsible for the full contract life cycle. The Director will provide advice on all contractual matters and give strategic direction for commercial activities and functional initiatives. The Commercial Director will be accountable for managing existing contracts, undertaking negotiations, pricing activities and dynamic contractual risk assessments, along with supporting growth activities. The ideal candidate will bring a balance of exceptional leadership qualities, critical thinking skills, deep legal and transactional expertise, excellent technical skills, and strong business acumen. The successful candidate will have experience in managing high value, complex contracts. With an in-depth understanding of risk analysis and mitigation and a business-focus, the Director will be a strong negotiator who can balance due diligence while enabling business growth. As the Commercial Director, you will ensure that the commercial support provided to business leaders shows value and contributes to the overall success of the company.
