With a diverse line of products supported by our advanced IoT technologies, regional distribution channels, and a global service network, we tap into the power of data and technology to enhance safety and productivity while optimizing performance.Komatsu Mining Corp. offers rewarding experiences and unique growth opportunities:Competitive wagesComprehensive benefits package (health & dental, vision coverage, healthcare spending account, and life insurance)Personal wellness spending accountCompany-sponsored registered pension plan (RPP) and matching program.Paid vacationCompany-supplied tools4/5 Rating on GlassdoorAbility to be a part of an exciting, innovative company developing new state-of-the-art technology and equipmentDiscussion regarding full compensation package conducted upon initial pre-screenReports to: General Manager, Hardrock North AmericaShift: 5 x 2 – Monday to FridayLocation: Sudbury, OntarioPercentage of Travel: 50% - 75%Key Job ResponsibilitiesDevelop underground equipment presence in North America, with the end objective of supporting and building a cost effective and profitable local business and end user engagementDevelop and execute strategic marketing plans for the Underground Hardrock product lines with a focus on Drills, Bolters, Rockdrills and RetrofitsLiaise with technical product support, engineering personnel, Account Managers and third-party dealersAdvise of technical issues, potential solutions or product enhancements to mitigate negative impactMaintain and grow relationships with existing and greenfield customers as well as EPCM’sSustain and Grow OE and Service revenue and market shareWork with the sales team to ensure the highest possible level of customer satisfactionDeveloping and presenting technical and commercial proposals to existing and prospective customers.Become a recognized industry expert by participating in the development of white papers and speaking opportunitiesConduct market research, competitive intelligence efforts and lead cross-functional teams to develop the product sales strategy and ensure market-driven product direction is achievedPresentation of new product line developments to existing and new customersSet and support the direction for new product development initiatives from project launch to commercialization throughout North AmericaConduct audits and undertake on-site condition assessments of productsUnderstand and anticipate the differing personalities of customers and ability to adapt to those customersQualifications/RequirementsTrade or engineering qualification, or extensive prior product and technical training within a similar role; credible knowledge (through work experience and training) of heavy equipment maintenanceMust be able to work with minimal supervision5+ years in underground mining, with product and solution sales and commercial experienceFull understanding of Site Safety and Environmental protocolsDemonstrated customer management experienceDemonstrated experience in preparing and presenting proposals, and RFQ managementProject co-ordination experience and ability to conceptualize and plan a scope of workMust have excellent communication and public speaking skillsComputer literacy in Microsoft Office suite (Salesforce knowledge an advantage)Technical competence related to the operation and maintenance of heavy equipment is vitalAdditional InformationKomatsu (Joy Global - Canada) is an organization committed to diversity and inclusion to drive our business results and create a better future every day for our diverse employees, global consumers, partners, and communities.
