Our client is currently seeking a Project Manager for a 12-month temporary position in Saskatoon, AB. By working for our client, you will be exposed to a large multinational mining and agricultural company, and be an integral part of the operations team.Responsibilities:Collaborate with Project Sponsors and Steering Committee members to define project scope, goals, and deliverables for assigned projects.Communicate project expectations clearly and promptly to team members and stakeholders.Estimate required resources, submit budget proposals, and ensure strict adherence to financial and resource management practices throughout the project.Develop comprehensive project plans and resource schedules, tracking timelines and milestones with appropriate planning tools.Prepare and deliver timely status reports and presentations to the Steering Committee.Proactively manage project scope changes, identify potential issues, and develop contingency plans.Cultivate and maintain business relationships crucial to project success, ensuring successful adoption of the business solution.Build relationships with operational stakeholders at potash, nitrogen, and phosphate production facilities.Conduct post-project evaluations, providing recommendations in the final Project Close report based on lessons learned from both successful and unsuccessful projects.About you:Extensive experience with technical financial solutions and a solid understanding of accounting practices, gained through both education and hands-on experience.Exceptional analytical and organizational abilities, with expert-level proficiency in Microsoft tools (MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint).Competent in various technology platforms, including ERPs like SAP and PeopleSoft, as well as current Internet technologies.Proven expertise in applying and interpreting Project Management methodologies.Ability to engage with the technical aspects of a project driven by a natural curiosity.Demonstrated capability to manage all project aspects, ensuring system success beyond merely meeting requirements.Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines using strong analytical and problem-solving skills in high-pressure environments.Skilled at eliciting cooperation from a wide range of sources, including upper management, vendors, and other departments.Innovative in developing both technical and process solutions for financial business areas.Skilled negotiator capable of defusing tension in complex, goal-oriented project environments.Proficient in managing project issues and risks using proven methods and strong management skills.Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong multitasking abilities.Skilled in researching business solutions and products.Proven team and people management and mentorship skills within both defined groups and external relationships.Expertise in end-to-end system development that enhances operational processes or improves operational safety in industrial solutions.Demonstrated use of the PMBOK and Scrum methodologies for project management.Perks:Competitive pay rate.
