Seeking a Skilled Combine Operator

Job Title: Combine Operator Location: Red Deer County (5 minutes south of gasoline alley) Job Type: Seasonal Equipment Operator Company Description: Fauna Farms is a small family run operation that cares about our team. Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Combine Operator to join our harvest crew late August to early November (weather dependent). As a Combine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining A New Holland CR9070 (2011). You will be expected to harvest crops efficiently and safely. Your role will involve working closely with farm family members and other team members. Key Responsibilities: • Operate combine machinery to harvest various crops such as wheat, malt barley and canola, while adhering to safety and operational guidelines. • Monitor and adjust machinery settings to optimize performance and crop yield. • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on combines to ensure they are in good working condition. • Troubleshoot and resolve any mechanical or technical issues that may arise during operation. • Coordinate with farm managers to prioritize tasks and meet harvesting goals. • Help maintain records of harvest activities, machinery maintenance, and crop yields. • Uphold standards of safety and organization in the work environment. Requirements: • Proven experience as a Combine Operator or similar role in agriculture. • Proficiency in operating and maintaining combine machinery. • Strong understanding of agricultural practices and crop harvesting techniques. • Ability to work long hours during peak harvest seasons and adapt to changing weather conditions. • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. • Physical stamina and strength to handle the demands of operating heavy machinery and working in outdoor environments. • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in agriculture is a plus.
