The Director of Business Development’s main responsibility is identifying and securing new business opportunities for Van Bree. This role is pivotal in driving the company’s expansion into new markets, focusing on attracting ICI and residential developers and forging strong partnerships with General Contractors and the farm community. The successful candidate will work closely with the COO, the CEO, and the executive team to gain a deep understanding of the business. Core Responsibilities ·      Develop and implement strategic business development plans to attract new ICI clients.·      Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and relationship building.·      Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, including ICI, Developers, General Contractors, and Farm operators.·      Collaborate with the CEO and COO to understand the company’s capabilities, market position, and potential areas for growth.·      Track and report on business development activities, results, and progress towards targets.·      Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify new opportunities.·      Create compelling proposals and presentations that effectively communicate Van Bree’s value proposition to prospective clients.·      Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote Van Bree and expand the company’s network.·      Ensure B-B marketing events are well coordinated and flawlessly delivered.·      Work with the marketing agency to ensure marketing materials are on brand and support the B-B sales effortsEducation, skills, and experience ·      Bachelor’s degree in business, construction management, marketing, or a related field.·      Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the construction industry.·      Proven track record of successfully securing new business and achieving sales targets.·      Foundational understanding of the heavy civil construction industry, including market dynamics and key players.·      Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.·      Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a proactive and results-oriented approach.·      Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsTravel: Ability to travel within Southwestern Ontario as required to meet and network with clients and attend industry events. Application Process:  All applications must be directed to Nicole Hayman before June 30, 2024.  Please include a resume and cover letter highlighting how your background and experience connect with this job role.Van Bree is an equal-opportunity employer.
