We are seeking a highly motivated Project Accountant to join our team in North Vancouver. You will work closely with a team of experts working alongside our customers on some of North America's most significant projects.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Timely invoicing to customers
- Assist with Project controlling activities (e.g. providing insights in relation to project overruns, contingency, work in progress, estimate to complete, etc.)
- Timely closure of the projects
- Assist with preparing timely and meaningful project reporting
- Maintaining constructive and value-adding relationships with Project Managers.
- Ensure projects are cash-flow positive by providing accurate and timely invoicing for approval by Project Managers (PMs), and support PMs on following up on past due accounts receivable

On top of that, you will have:
- Have completed post-secondary education in Accounting or Finance, complemented with at least 2-5 years of previous related experience in project controlling/billing within the professional services environment
- Possess knowledge and understanding of standard contract terms, including hourly, lump sum, and not-to-exceed, and how they are applied in the billing process and from a risk perspective
- Have good knowledge of the project structure in a client/consultant business environment and be able to work with staff located remotely
- Be hands-on with using ERP and have advanced knowledge of MS Office suite and data entry skills
- Have high attention to detail with comprehensive technical, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills

Base compensation: $55,000 to $70,000 for North Vancouver location only. Actual compensation is subject to variations due to education, experience, skill set and/or location
