To learn more, visit www.icsavings.ca. Job OverviewAs the Director of Information Technology, you will be responsible for managing the relationships, performance, and contractual agreements with third-party IT service providers. With strong vendor management skills and knowledge of IT infrastructure, applications, and security standards you will enhance the information and technology of the credit union. As the technology leader, you will oversee cyber security for the credit union safeguarding the assets of the credit union and its members.  Working collaboratively with the leadership team you will contribute to the planning, execution, and success of information technology strategies ensuring alignment with business objectives while optimizing resources and delivering the transformation and modernization of IT services. You will be supported in your endeavors and will direct the relationship for both the managed services and managed security services providers. What You’ll Be DoingAs the primary point of contact for the third-party providers, you will facilitate regular meetings with the providers and communicate the organization’s needs.Monitor the third-party providers’ performance through regular reviews, audits, and measure performance against set metrics to ensure adherence to contractual obligations.Ensure the third-party IT providers comply with industry regulations, security standards, and internal policies.Report the third-party providers’ performance, risks, and issues to senior management.Establish and oversee the IT budget, including accurately forecasting financial needs and budget adherence.  Manage the budget for the IT third-party providers, monitor expenses and identify cost savings opportunities.As the technical expert you are responsible for managing the IT infrastructure, cyber security, enterprise applications, and helpdesk operations.Manage the credit union’s information security program including cyber security, internet, software updates, and incident responses.Oversee the introduction of new technology services/service providers by collaborating with all departments.  Partner with functional leaders to understand and translate their needs into technical solutions.  Collaborate with senior leadership to identify and prioritize technology initiatives to enhance business performance. Make recommendations on IT products, services, protocols, and standards in support of all infrastructure procurement and development efforts that will enhance infrastructure security and flexibility, while at the same time ensuring cost effectiveness.In connection with the business owners, develop and execute a comprehensive Information Technology Strategy and an Annual Plan to achieve defined business goals and future requirements.Direct and coach the Technical Support Analyst.  Develop performance standards and motivate Analyst to achieve or exceed performance standards. Support and contribute to our digital transformation journey. Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends that will enhance security and service delivery for the credit union.Maintain and implement approved policies and procedures, and practices for technology operations with all stakeholders.  Ensure policies, systems, and procedures adhere to applicable laws, contractual obligations, and established security protocols.Drive innovation by staying abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure the credit union leverages the most effective and secure information and technology solutions. Establish KPI and metrics to monitor effectiveness of IT services. What We’re Looking ForThe ideal candidate will have:Bachelor’s degree in information technology/management, computer science or related discipline. You have a comprehensive understanding of Information Technology and experience implementing best practices to ensure security management in the financial services industry.Understanding of the financial services industry, their organizational makeup, and the unique positions they often require. Direct credit union experience preferred. Minimum seven (7) years of progressive IT experience in a Credit Union or other Financial Services environment.Minimum two (2) years of people management experience with strong leadership skills and ability to develop and maintain a high level of employee engagement. Proven experience in managing third-party IT services and vendor relationships.Thorough understanding of Information Systems and Technology practices and procedures.You bring demonstrated experience with advising and influencing various stakeholders, including senior leadership.Strong integrity and professionalism with ability to maintain confidentiality, manage highly sensitive information and exercise sound judgment in problem resolution.Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.Valid driver’s license and access to reliable vehicle. Working Conditions / Physical EffortProfessional, team-oriented office environment.Standard corporate hours; ability to work extended hours as required.The physical demands are those that must be met by being able to successfully perform the essential functions of the role such as sitting, standing, talking, regular use of computer and phone, driving.
