The Group operates 18 factories and two distribution centers in nine countries, and currently sells to over 100 countries around the world, maintaining sales offices in the majority of these markets.This position is available at our, manufacturing facility located in Milton, ON.  A. Job Summary Statement:Manages and co-ordinates all the activities within the Quality Process to ensure that the company produces quality products in line with its standards and those of its customers.B. Essential Functions & Responsibilities:Plans, directs and co-ordinates all activities in the Quality Assurance Process, to ensure quality targets are reached, at the lowest possible cost.Design and implement quality and management policies/procedures throughout the company at all levels.Exercises supervisory control and direction over the company's day-to-day Quality Assurance activities.Ensure employees are fully trained on Quality Assurance subject matter including Standard Operating procedures.Prepare and participate in all Quality related audits, ensures audits are completed in within provided timeline and corrective actions are completed within the deadline.Complete customer surveys, questionnaires and online audits as required.Keep all customers and internal systems up to date.Ensure calibration of quality equipment is completed before expiration date annually.Initiates and controls inspection practices / procedures relating to material processed and workmanship ensuring that incoming material and parts, work in progress and finished goods meet pre-determined quality standards.When deviations from the specification occur, makes the decision with regards to disposition, rework, or rejection of parts. In cases of major importance, prepares the necessary basis for discussion with management, so the most cost-effective solution can be found, ensuring that customer requirements are met. Monitor quality performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports.Supervise technical and management system reporting.Setting up and maintain controls, documentation procedures and mapping process.Liaise with customer’s auditors ensuring the execution of corrective action and compliance with customer specifications.Where special action is necessary, takes responsibility to ensure that all departments involved are properly informed. Provides necessary leadership in problem solving.Participates in product development and ensure quality inspection are established based on the risk assessment.Monitors customer feedback and communicates same to Production personnel.Liaise with Marketing Department with regards to product label artwork approval and colour approvals.Approve Bill of Materials for new items.Prepare packaging protocol for production floor and provide training to quality leads on new products.LIaise with customer service, customers, and suppliers to resolve quality issues.Handles all consumer complaints and replacements of parts and products within the timely manner.Prepare and co-ordinate product testing with customer specific laboratory and keep the test log up to date.Maintains or builds up a close knowledge of Company’s supplier (source and subcontractors) capabilities by:Visiting them at regular intervals.Assisting suppliers when required to ensure a positive relationship through supply base development.Inspection and control of incoming raw materials as required. Establishes the duties and responsibilities for direct report positions. Has responsibility for hiring, evaluating, disciplining, and terminating of employees within Quality Assurance in conjunction with Human Resources.Ensures that Quality Department is staffed with competent personnel in all positions and that their abilities are identified, developed, and utilized. Trains, instructs employees; measures their performance and verifies their adherence to job instructions, quality system requirements and company policies, rules, and practices. Motivates and evaluates staff on regular basis.Follow the guidelines and rules as set out by company policies.Treats everyone with dignity, trust, and respect.Completes other duties as required by the Director of Operations. C. Job Specifications—Skills and Competencies:Post Secondary Education in a related field.Microsoft Office/Access,Minimum 5-8 years of experience in Quality Assurance environment with 3-5 years in a supervisory capacity.SAP experience is an asset.Must display leadership qualities and be a strong communicator.Skills in problem solving, process control, work instructions and continuous improvement.Desire to own decisions and take responsibility for outcomes.Communicates clearly with customer focused vision.Assigns the highest priority to customer satisfaction while meeting commitments to achieve business objectives.Creates a positive work environment by demonstrating and sharing functional/technical knowledge.Responsible for promoting and seeking excellence in all aspects of business. D. Health and SafetyUnderstands and works in compliance with the Keter Canada Inc’s Environmental and Health/Safety management systems, policies, rules, and guidelines.Understands and works in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the regulations.None
