Position # : 9001127 Expected Start Date: December 01, 2024 Union: SUN Facility: St. Pauls Hospital City/Town: Saskatoon Department: Emergency Type: Full-time temporary Expected Up to Date: December 01, 2025 FTE: 1 Shift Information: Days Hours of Work: 1 shifts of 8 hours and 12 shifts of 11.78 hours per 4 weeks Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Nurse B $42.040 to $52.440 Travel Required: No Job Description:  Reporting to the Manager, the Clinical Resource Nurse (CRN) is responsible for promoting the Mission, Vision and Values of the Saskatchewan Health Authority through the provision of safe quality nursing care to clients. The Clinical Resource Nurse educates, mentors and supports unit staff, promotes patient safety, occupational health and safety and quality improvement on the unit. Human Resources Exemption: No Experience 5 years recent emergency dept experience including triage/coordinator/educator Education Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) Other Education and Training Canadian Nurses Association certification is preferred Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS) Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) Competencies Advanced - Critical thinking skills Advanced - Demonstrates leadership skills Advanced - Sound clinical judgment skills Knowledge and Abilities Ability to adapt to and implement change Commitment to continued learning and professional development. Demonstrates expertise in medical nursing Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships. Knowledge of role of Emergency Department in the health system Ability to facilitate teamwork is essential An understanding of models of nursing care is an asset Demonstrated ability to integrate research based theory into practice Evidence of clinical leadership ability is an asset Ability to perform technical emergency nursing duties with skill and competence Has demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills.
