Purpose:

We are currently recruiting for a Junior Process Engineer. Our team includes world class experts and dynamic go-getters. The Junior Process Engineer is a full-time position based in Calgary, AB.

Sulphur Technology Process expertise preferred and general experience in Refining and/or Gas Processing desired for a process engineer position, growing into a more substantial role when capabilities are demonstrated and established. Candidate will be working in a fast-paced environment populated with top-notch engineers/consultants and will require a sound fundamental understanding of methods and applications used in front end engineering and financial decision-making in the Hydrocarbons industry.

Responsibilities:

• Member of a team developing concept studies, plant evaluations and/or front-end package delivery
• Perform process simulations to develop PFD, Heat & Material Balance and other documentation
• Perform energy optimization using commercially available simulators
• Proactively contribute to problem solving in design as well as in field applications
• Assist with research and technical paper development on technology applications for current industry issues such as sulphur recovery, emissions control, plant efficiency, operations advice, etc.
• Travel for various programs, as required.

What you will bring

Technical and Industry Experience:

• Junior-level Process Engineering experience, preferably with similar projects.
• Experience in process simulations with ProMax, HYSYS, PRO/II, VMGSim or similar software.
• Good writing, presentation, and problem solving skills.
• Demonstrated teamwork and interest in professional development.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

Required:

• Minimum education is a Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering
• Must be available to travel both within and outside of Canada for projects.
