June 28, 2024 PROJECT COORDINATOR (BAND LEVEL 7) Centre for Collaborative Health Professional Education Faculty of Medicine (Contractual Position to March 31, 2026) The University will consider applications from qualified permanent staff who may be interested in a secondment, subject to departmental approval DUTIES Reporting to the Manager, Office of Professional and Educational Development (OPED) and supporting the Director of the Centre for Collaborative Health Professional Education (CCHPE), the successful applicant will be responsible for assisting in the coordination and delivery of inter-professional education (IPE) with CCHPE. Duties include: attending meetings, including IPE Planning and Curriculum Development meetings and implementing changes to curricular materials based on committee recommendations; updating and organizing curricular materials for IPE facilitators; working with technical staff to develop and revise online curriculum materials in support of IPE programming (including Brightspace); supporting the implementation of the annual IPE facilitator recruitment plan and materials in consultation with CCHPE Coordinator; monitoring and recording learner attendance; following up with learners unable to attend requisite IPE activities; distributing and collecting deferred assignments from absentee learners; coordinating the grading of learner assignments and reporting learner assessment results to academic units; responding to learner inquiries related to IPE curriculum, attendance and assessment; co-chairing the Inter-professional Learner Advisory Committee (along with learner representatives); supporting and assisting the coordination and drafting funding proposals and grant applications; preparing applications and amendments for the Health Research Ethics Board; supporting knowledge transfer and academic publication opportunities with faculty, professional associates, staff and learners; coordinating and implementing CCHPE’s evaluation framework; drafting reports and summarizing evaluation data as required for CCHPE stakeholder groups; disseminating learners’ evaluations of their team facilitators back to facilitators; developing and maintaining content for CCHPE’s web-site and social media, and other duties as required. QUALIFICATIONS Experience (3-5 years) in responsible and relevant work in the provision of education and services, and the development and delivery of educational programs. Graduation with a degree in education or a health-related discipline, or any equivalent combination of experience and training. Strong skills in program evaluation and project management, including demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work both independently and collaboratively; ability to build successful relations with colleagues at all levels, and the ability to effectively multi-task in a fast paced environment are required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and Outlook; familiarity with university policies and procedures, and experience in a post-secondary institution are assets.
