Dean, School of Engineering

The Company is seeking a Dean for its School of Engineering, a role that demands a strategic leader with a strong background in engineering education and research innovation. The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering a culture of inclusion, transparency, and vision, and will lead the Faculty in securing support for research, scholarship, and infrastructure. This leadership position also involves promoting a faculty-wide culture of interdisciplinarity, excellence in research, and innovative teaching, as well as establishing and nurturing international partnerships. The Dean will play a key role in the School's contributions to Truth and Reconciliation and will ensure that the School is effectively represented in university planning and management processes.Applicants for the Dean position must hold a PhD in a related discipline and have qualifications that meet the criteria for a tenured full professorship. A strong academic and research background, including a track record of external funding success, is essential. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior academic leadership roles and be adept at building strong relationships with industry, government, alumni, and other partners. The role requires a leader who can create space for diverse perspectives and who is committed to the local implementation of university strategies, including those related to Indigenous engagement, sustainability, and global engagement.
