Robert Half is partnered with our growing client, in their search for a Development Analyst to join their team in Toronto. The Development Analyst plays a critical role in driving strategic growth by identifying and evaluating potential investment opportunities, mergers, and acquisitions. They provide essential financial analysis and due diligence support, ensuring informed decision-making for senior management. Their expertise in market research and data management helps align corporate strategies with industry trends and competitive dynamics, directly contributing to the company's long-term success.Your key responsibilities:Conduct in-depth research on industry trends, competitor activities, and potential investment opportunities.Develop and execute financial models, including valuations for mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.Support the due diligence process by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting critical data for potential deals.Manage, organize, and analyze large datasets relevant to corporate development strategies.Create comprehensive reports and presentations, detailing findings and strategic recommendations for the corporate development team and senior management.Collaborate with various departments to gather necessary information and ensure alignment with corporate strategies.Assist in managing and tracking ongoing corporate development projects.Continuously enhance your knowledge of the mining sector and corporate development practices.Qualifications and Skills:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related field.1-3 years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, consulting, or a related field. Internship experience in investment banking or M&A is a plus.Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation, and analysis, with strong Excel skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for interpreting complex data.Effective written and verbal communication skills for presenting insights and collaborating with cross-functional teams.Ability to conduct comprehensive market and industry research.High degree of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of analysis and reporting.Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment and work seamlessly across departments.Flexibility to manage changing priorities and handle multiple tasks concurrently.If you are interested in immediate consideration for this exciting opportunity in a high-growth industry, please apply online today!
