We are committed to delivering sustainable solutions and are seeking a talented Senior Bridge CAD Technician/Designer to join our team.The Senior Bridge CAD Technician/Designer will play a crucial role in the design and development of bridge structures. You will be responsible for creating detailed CAD drawings, coordinating with bridge engineers, developing tender design drawings and detailed IFC drawings, acting as the CAD manager on large projects, supervising and mentoring junior CAD technicians, and having a strong understanding and working experience with the CAD standards of different highway ministries in Canada, such as Alberta Transportation (AT) and BC Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MOTi).Role Accountabilities:Create and modify detailed CAD drawings of bridge structures, including plans, elevations, sections, and detailsCoordinate with bridge engineers to ensure design intent is accurately captured in CAD drawingsDevelop tender design drawings and detailed IFC drawingsAct as the CAD manager on large projects, overseeing the CAD team and ensuring consistency and quality of deliverablesSupervise and mentor junior CAD technicians, providing guidance and trainingDemonstrate a strong understanding and working experience with the CAD standards of different highway ministries in Canada, such as Alberta Transportation (AT) and BC Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MOTi)Stay updated on the latest CAD software and design standardsQualificationsDiploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology or a related fieldMinimum of 15 years of experience in bridge design using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D)Strong proficiency in the Bentley and AutoCAD suite of CAD productsExperience in developing tender design drawings and detailed IFC drawingsProven ability to lead and manage CAD teams on large projectsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAdditional InformationWhy Arcadis?We can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
