Reporting to the Accounting Manager, theJuniorProject Accountantwill work closely with other project accountants and finance professionals within our accounting group. This role is ideal for a new or recent college graduate looking to start their accounting career!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Creation of new projects into Deltek Vision, and review existing project prior to use;
  • Ensure accounting records are up to date with client information;
  • Financial management of a portfolio of projects, including inputting and verifying data into the accounting system to ensure accuracy of invoices;
  • Collaborate with project managers to generate, finalize and issue final invoices and send them to clients via mail or email;
  • Build strong relationships with project managers by providing monthly paperwork ensuring accurate project reporting;
  • Leverage your attention to detail to review client agreements and ensure project budgets are accurate;
  • Provide excellent customer service and accounting support to project managers regarding invoicing, project set up, and budget adjustments;

Job Requirements:

  • Post secondary diploma in the business/accounting field or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field;
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Excel, intermediate level understanding preferred;
  • Ability to build and foster excellent working relationships;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; and
  • Experience with Deltek Vision application considered an asset
