Ready to join a proactive and modern firm that provides an exceptional career experience in an inclusive and collaborative environment? Come join us!

As part of a global legal practice, Norton Rose Fulbright Canada embraces a culture of excellence and client service, but always with a focus on flexibility, respect, diversity and openness. We strive to create an equitable, inclusive environment where everyone can bring their whole self to work and realize their career potential.

Our highly respected tax practitioners in Toronto advise on a full suite of domestic, international and multi-jurisdictional tax matters for a variety of pre-eminent organizations and financial institutions. Our practice includes tax planning and advice regarding private and public debt and equity financings, international tax, mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, investment funds and structured finance. We are currently seeking to add to the existing strength of our team by bringing in both a Junior-Level Associate (1 to 2 years) and a Mid-Level Associate (4 to 6 years) with an interest and experience in a transactional tax practice.

This presents an incredible opportunity to join a world-class group of professionals at an established Canadian law firm with a significant international legal practice. It is also an opportunity to be part of a close, collaborative and collegial team, which has a significant focus on training, mentorship and development as well as access to a large tax team in Canada and throughout the world.

The ideal candidates will possess an LL.B or JD degree and will also have:

  • the requisite number of post-call years of experience (as outlined above);
  • private practice or in-house experience, including assisting on transactional matters, corporate tax planning, reorganizations and financings;
  • strong academic standings;
  • exceptional client service, interpersonal and communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a willingness to learn and take initiative; and
  • demonstrated commercial acumen and a pragmatic, business focused outlook.

To apply, please register your resume online at www.nortonrosefulbright.com/ca/en/careers . We thank all candidates for their application, but will be contacting only those whom we select to invite for an interview.

Please note that applicants who receive an employment offer may be required during their employment with Norton Rose Fulbright to provide proof of vaccinations recommended from time to time by government or public health authorities. Norton Rose Fulbright has a duty to accommodate those who are unable to get vaccinated due to protected grounds. For applicants who require an accommodation, please contact us to discuss further.

Wherever we are, we operate in accordance with our global business principles of quality, unity and integrity. We aim to provide the highest possible standard of legal service in each of our offices and to maintain that level of quality at every point of contact.
