Aiolos is an engineering consulting firm, designing and producing advanced testing facilities in the Aerospace and Automotive sectors. We are headquartered in Toronto and deliver to a global market.We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate must: Be the focal point for all project activities from start to finish, including engineering, procurement, construction, facility start-up, and final handover.Arrange and manage all site phases and monitor the activities that are delegated to the Project Engineer.Key Responsibilities Review and understand the contract for projects assigned; prepare and issue a project work plan (in cooperation with the Project Engineer);Oversee the preparation and approval of the project budget. Establish the procedures for controlling and reporting costs for all aspects of the job. Audit the development of deliverables (specifications and drawings, etc.).Prepare the project procurement plan; initiate and manage the RFP process, including the preparation of POs and sub-contracts (with the Manager of Procurement)Monitor the development of the Operating and Maintenance Manual(s) and assembly of all suppliers’ documentationEffectively communicate all aspects of project progress directly with the client and / or ownerEstablish change order procedures. Monitor contractual requirements and recommend adjustments as needed; identify and control commercial risk and project scope creep.Document meeting minutes, correspondence, telephone calls, daily diariesAudit the Project Engineer’s documentation coordination for the project multi-disciplinary design reviews.Monitor project forecasts to deliver project within budget. Oversee the preparation and approval of the project schedule. Establish procedures for monitoring, controlling and reporting progress for the entire job.Review and adjust project activities to suit actual project needs.Audit the Project Engineer’s development of lessons learned, promote any relevant lessons learned to Managers within the Company, as appropriateEstablish the site office and coordinate all contractor site activities, in cooperation with the Project EngineerDevelop and maintain the construction schedule.QualificationsBachelor's degree in engineeringProfessional Engineer (P.Eng) designation 10+ years experience in engineering and project management.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong leadership and team management abilities.Extensive travel is required, Internationally.Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Microsoft Project Planner (scheduling).All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP).We thank all applicants for their interest, however only those candidates selected for interviews will be contacted.
