It also offers infrastructure development through New Flyer Infrastructure Solutions, a service dedicated to providing safe, sustainable, and reliable charging and mobility solutions.POSITION SUMMARYAs a key member of our Human Resources department, you will provide support in all areas of disability case management, including attendance management, coordination of occupational and non-occupational accidents/injuries (STD/LTD, WCB & MPIC) and return to work programs. This position will also be responsible for continually improving New Flyer’s Claims management performance through the development and implementation of programs focused on prevention.WHAT YOU WILL DO:Reports and tracks WCB, STD, LTD and MPIC claims management, as well as creating and distributing reports.Accurately completes and submits all documentation for claims processing and status changes in monitoring systems.Provides guidance regarding disability management issues and employee claims status.Liaises with medical community, WCB, MPIC, STD/LTD provider on claim information and return to work condition.Works closely with employees and management to coordinate and assist in facilitating successful return to work programs.Coordinates, administers systems, communicates, and provides guidance for company attendance management programs and policies.Works with leadership and unions to promote good employee relations in support and achievement of attendance and claims management programs and strategies.Provides advice and guidance to employees and leadership in areas of disability, health, wellness education, employee and labor relations, harassment/conflicts, and progressive discipline issues.WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:Certificate or diploma in Human Resources Management, Return to Work Coordinator, Certified Disability Management Professional, or equivalent experience would be considered.2-3 years’ experience in a Human Resources role with a focus on employee relations, disability case management and return to work programs.Excellent knowledge of HR laws and regulations, disability management principles, Occupational Health and Safety, and Worker’s Compensation Legislation.Strong decision making, interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills.Ability to converse in a professional manner and collaborate with all levels of the organization.Motivated self-starter with capabilities to work within a fast-paced team-oriented environment.WHY JOIN OUR TEAM:Competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package.A continuous learning environment.Ability to advance your career with a growing company.NFI Group has been named a Manitoba Top Employer for 2020 and this is the tenth since the competition was established in 2007.Employee social committee organizes numerous events throughout the year, including summer barbecues, holiday festivities, sporting events and tournaments, and much more.Ongoing employee development through a variety of in-house training initiatives along with tuition subsidies for courses at outside institutions.OUR WHY:We exist to move people.
