Our expert team specializes in managing environmental liability through comprehensive site investigations, risk assessments, and customized remediation and risk management plans.You’re role within the team:This position will enjoy a mix of office and occasional field work as the role is focused on supporting growth in the business and working on projects locally in the Yukon, NWT, and northern B.C. while providing support across Canada and internationally where needed. The responsibilities of the Environmental Project Manager may include the following:Set and maintain project schedules and budgets, including project financial forecasting; make decisions with respect to overall technical execution of the project; liaise with technical specialists or other senior project managers to ensure the technical integrity of the project.Participate in the preparation of proposals and cost estimates.Be active in business development activities and maintaining client relationships.Provide technical expertise for contaminated site investigation and remediation programs.Interpret findings and prepare and/or review technical reports.Supervise and mentor junior professional staff involved in carrying out field programs, ensuring project requirements are communicated and health and safety protocols are adhered to.Work collaboratively with Indigenous communities and businesses, supporting the communities in which we work.Actively promote Health and Safety programs and culture.Participate in short and long-range planning.Assess the accuracy and precision of analytical results by applying good practice guidance or established QA/QC methods.Interpret analytical data to identify trends, significant changes from historical patterns, deviations, or evidence of environmental stresses.Communicate results of site assessment to stakeholders such as property owners, responsible parties, regulators, the public, etc. via a public consultation or other appropriate communication process.The ideal candidate:Minimum of 5 years of environmental experience with 2+ years of progressive experience encompassing environmental project planning, coordinating, and project management with emphasis in the areas of contaminated site assessment and remediation.Diploma or Degree from a program with relevant subject matter.PMP (Project Management Professional) designation or the ability to acquire the CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) professional certification within six months as a condition of employment if not currently registered as a PMP.Willingness to travel and work on occasional field programs.Strong attention to detail along with strong written and communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment, including working with colleagues in different geographic regions.Self-motivated, high energy, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage time and multiple projects appropriately.Flexible schedule, able to respond to last minute requests and overlapping deadlines.Candidates must possess a Valid Class 5 Full driver’s license with a clean driving record.Demonstrated technical skills in field activities related to Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESA), including groundwater monitoring and sampling techniques, various drilling techniques, soil sample collection and logging, soil vapour sampling, remedial excavations, spill response, and quality assurance/quality control protocols.Experience with the interpretation of provincial (Yukon and B.C.) and federal environmental regulations, with a strong understanding of CCME guidelines.Are you up for this challenge?
