Regional Training RepresentativeThe Screening Contractor Training Representative (SCTR) is primarily responsible for the training of Screening Officers in accordance with our training program requirements and guidelines, including various software and systems. ResponsibilitiesDeliver in-person on-the-job training, including but not limited to requisite post-course practical training and refresher courses.Monitor tests and assessments related to all elements of our training programSupervise screening personnel's participation in practical skill development sessionsHands-on training on screening proceduresImplement training for new operating procedures and support new hire orientation trainingProvide recommendations on certification maintenanceDevelop rapport and credibility within Screening Officer population to increase effectiveness of training interactionsDemonstrate positive partnership with our client to support training programsFacilitate refresher sessions, such as reviewing SOP changes, new operational bulletins / advisories, or new screening initiativesIncrease the screening knowledge by providing specific certification training to the screening personnel populationVideo briefings on the importance of the Screening Officer role; for example, showing events in the past relating to aviation screeningFacilitate other material as deemed operationally appropriate for the screening personnelPerform other training team tasks as assignedTravel to airports within the regionRequirementsMinimum of two (2) years of experience in Training and Development experiencePost secondary education in Adult Learning, Communications, Business Management, Human Resources or related fieldDemonstrated experience in adult learning and training deliveryExcellent written, verbal and communication skillsAbility to coach, correct and mentor Screening OfficersAbility to pass the Screening Contractor Training Representative course Flexible to work within a 24/7 operation in which schedules could change as per training requirements and operationStrong attention to detail and quality with the ability to meet competing deadlinesAviation-related experience including working with various stakeholders within the aviation industry would be an assetAbility to acquire Transportation Security Clearance (TSC) Fluency in French would be considered an asset.Proficiency in Microsoft OfficeExperience with Online Learning Management Systems (LMS)Must be a current resident of Abbotsford or the surrounding areaSalary: $70,000 - $75,000This role is fully based at Abbotsford International Airport (YXX), some travel may be required to regional airports across BC and Yukon. If you are successful in the application process, you will be required to apply for a Transport Security Clearance (TSC), which requires an extensive background check. Once obtained, you will be eligible to begin the Screening Contractor Training Representative course, which must be successfully passed prior to beginning work as a Screening Contractor Training Representative.Paladin Airport Security Services Ltd.
