The Senior Manager, Telesat Lightspeed Program Delivery will support the Lightspeed Program Delivery Vice President to coordinate all program Mission Assurance activities, plan and manage the Telesat Lightspeed Mission Assurance Organization, develop and maintain a system for managing processes critical to Mission Success including program quality processes. They will manage a team of Mission Assurance professionals, providing team strategies for meeting company objectives, team motivation, guidance, career development, and mentorship. Main ResponsibilitiesProvide a vision of how the program will achieve Mission SuccessWorking across the Telesat Lightspeed segment organizations, drive implementation and oversee execution of processes to ensure Telesat Lightspeed system Mission SuccessDevelop and maintain a system for communicating, managing and linking processesWork with the Sr. Manager, Lightspeed Program Delivery to provide training on processesDevelop and advise senior management on communications related to Mission AssuranceWork with the Director, Lightspeed Program Managment Office to ensure effective Risk ManagementAdminister program quality processes includingQuality and Nonconformity Reporting and DispositionCorrective and Preventive ActionSoftware AssuranceOperations QualityIndependent reviews, audits, and investigationsEducation and Experience RequiredBachelor's degree in engineering, Master's degree or equivalent in Engineering Management is preferableAt least 15 years' experience in engineering development involving both hardware and software, preferably working in communications or satellitesAt least 5 years' experience as a manager with Mission Assurance experienceAbility to assess technical status and issues in hardware, software, and operationsExpertise in failure and anomaly investigation, corrective action, preventive action, and continuous improvementExcellent oral and written communication skills in dealing with engineers, internal and external stakeholders, senior management and staffAbility to convey status and issues clearly, concisely and accuratelyAbility to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical individualsStrong organizational skillsSignificant skill in influence management to help broker solutions across organizationsA team player, collaborative and independently drivenMust demonstrate a flexible, open-minded attitude and have strong interpersonal skillsHigh-level of expertise with Microsoft Office suite: Excel, Project, Word, Visio and PowerPoint, and Atlassian tools: Jira, ConfluenceDecision Making and SupervisionIn this role, the individual will wield substantial influence over the trajectory of the Telesat LightSpeed program.
