What is the opportunity?
The focus of the Senior Manager, Investment Solutions Marketing role is to support the marketing strategy for RBC Global Asset Management (GAMs) investment solutions alongside our distribution channel partners. This includes developing various product collateral, content for marketing and sales campaigns, supporting advertising messaging and creating an engaging and informative digital client experience. As a brand ambassador, this role contributes to building awareness with our target audience in Canada, helps generate leads and enable RBC GAMs sales teams with the tools they need for timely and personalized client support. The role will work closely with Enterprise Distribution Strategy, Advisor Channel Sales and Marketing leadership to develop a client-centered strategy that delivers a solutions-based approach and a superior client experience.
What will you do?
Builds and manages relationships between Marketing, Product and Distribution teams, aligning on strategic goals and prioritizing to support RBC GAMs investment solutions
Acts as a liaison between Marketing, RBC GAMs sales teams and the Investment Communications groups to develop and execute product marketing plans
Brings an investment product expertise that translates into the ability to support a robust marketing strategy for RBC GAM mutual funds and ETFs, working closely with stakeholders
Drives the development and execution of product marketing campaigns, including managing multiple stakeholders feedback and approvals
Supports the advisor communication framework by developing content for the Marketing Cloud centralized and distributed marketing email library
Works closely with internal teams in building out effective and meaningful Marketing Cloud journeys that deliver meaningful data and insights, drive advisor registration to RBC GAMs website and generate leads
Creates and executes marketing plans for new product launches
Stays up to date on current markets, responsible investment and ESG, RBC GAMs investment team insights and thought leadership, as well as distribution team priorities
Maintains competitive research of the Canadian asset management landscape, notable new products and in-market messaging
Contributes technical investment solutions expertise to help with advertising campaign strategy and messaging development
Writes new or updates existing investment solution-related marketing collateral and web pages
Manages compliance review and translation for marketing materials and digital deliverables
Always measures, monitors and optimizes to improve quality of campaigns, microsites and all the content we produce
Mentors junior members of the team and help foster a positive environment of collaboration, accountability, adaptability and growth
Acts as the right hand for Associate Director, Channel Marketing
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
7+ years in investment industry in a marketing role with an emphasis on supporting investment solutions
Completed the Canadian Securities Course or Investment Funds in Canada course
Deep understanding of the investment industry landscape in Canada
Expertise in B2B marketing and thorough understanding of the financial advisor audience
Excellent communication skills
Developing clear and engaging product content for collateral and digital properties
Understanding of creating effective digital client experiences
Above average understanding of Microsoft Office tools, Salesforce and MarTech
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and build relationships at all levels of an organization
Experience developing investment-related marketing campaigns
A conceptual thinker with an innovative mindset
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Experience managing people and leading projects
Ability to analyze data and results against KPIs to suggest improvements and optimization
Nice-to-have
University degree with a focus on marketing
CFA designation
