This position is for a Senior Property Accountant based out of our Toronto offices. There is a hybrid schedule with three days being in office.
Who you are
In anticipation of new business, we are proactively seeking am experienced Senior Property Accountant to join our existing team. You are a professional property accountant ready to take the next step, working with a national portfolio. You thrive with working within deadlines and providing strong financial reporting for your assigned properties. You identify issues, provide strong analysis on monthly reports and continually seek opportunities for process improvements. You also embrace sharing your knowledge and participate in training for new accountants.
What you bring:
Minimum of 5 years of dynamic property accounting experience within the commercial real estate industry
Experience working with enclosed malls and retail properties is highly desireable
Ability and experience of working to financial deadlines
Strong Excel skills
Bonus skills and experience
Post-secondary education in accounting;
CPA designation completed or in progress is an asset
Strong communication skills
What success looks like:
Successfully complete monthly reporting and assist your Accounting Manager in audit processes
Optimally coordinate the integration of new properties into the accounting workflow
