We are looking to harness the power of artificial intelligence to transform our internal operations, and we need a skilled software developer to help us achieve this vision.Role Overview: As an Intermediate Software Developer at Heartee Foods, you will play a critical role in developing and enhancing our internal software systems with a strong focus on AI integration. You will collaborate with our cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement AI-powered features that interact with our existing systems, including CRM, inventory management, learning management systems (LMS), waste management, logistics, and more.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain software systems integrated with AI Large Language Models (LLMs).Build internal AI agents that interact with and process our data across various systems.Collaborate with internal teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable software solutions.Optimize and maintain existing systems, ensuring seamless integration with new AI technologies.Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality software delivery.Work in a hybrid environment, balancing remote and on-site (2-3 days/week) work in our Ottawa, ON office.Qualifications:3+ years of experience in software development with a focus on backend and frontend technologies.Proficiency in NodeJS and React, with experience in building and maintaining scalable web applications.Experience with AI integration, specifically with Large Language Models (LLMs) and API-driven AI services like OpenAI.Solid understanding of database management with MySQL.Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS EC2.Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control using GitHub.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in the food industry or other rapidly growing sectors.Familiarity with AI interfaces, CRM, inventory management, and logistics systems.Experience with Nginx, CloudFlare, and Websockets.Application RequirementsTo apply, please submit your resume along with a cover letter, or video if you dare, addressing the following key topics:Share an experience where your careful approach made a difference in the outcome of a task or project.Reflect on a time when you received advice or guidance that influenced your work or approach.
